Newbie: Cannot Connect to Target TMS320C6678 Evaluation Module

Hello, when I try to connect to the TMS320C6678 in Debug mode for the C6678 Eval Module I get the following error:

I am able to run the Sd560Cnfgv5 tool and it does see that one emulator is attached.

This is my very first Code Composer project. Is there some tests that I can do to help me? Is it possible to upload my project?

    Joe,

    Are you using external XDS560 emulator ? Have you tried connecting the target using on board emulator ?
    Have you created a target configuration and could able to pass the test connection ?

    Regarding software, you could see all the relevant information in the below link.

    Hello, thanks for responding to my post. I have not tried "Have you created a target configuration and could able to pass the test connection" and do not know how that is done. I will look into that. Also, I do not know how to "Have you tried connecting the target using on board emulator ". I have only connected the external XDS560v2 Pro Trace Emulator to the EVM board. My co-worker has a XDS560v2 STM emulator that I could try.

    This is a whole new world for me. Thanks for all your help. Joe

    Senthil,

    HI, I found the Target Configuration but I don't see the Spectrum Digital XDS560v2 Pro Trace listed.

    I did try the Spectrum Digital XDS560V2 STM USB Emulator and click the Test Connection but it did not pass. Any ideas what I could try?

    Dear Joe,

    You have to use Blackhawk emulator for C6678 EVM.

    Here is the screen shot which I'm using.

    I would like to suggest to import the following target configuration in the following location.

    C:\ti\mcsdk_2_01_02_06\tools\program_evm\configs\evm6678l\evm6678le.ccxml

    There are plenty of wiki's and e2e threads documented about this. Please refer them. The few links below may help to solve the issue,

    Refer Chapter 2 of Lab manual,
