what is the best way to find the excution time of functions using the c6713 dsk and using bios?

Hi,

I need to find the execution time of certain functions in my code to insure the will be able to perform in a real time senario. What would the be the best way to do this using the C6713 DSK evaluation board from Spectrum Digital, and with using a DSP/BIOS configuration file?

I am just using CLK_gethtime() and CLK_getltime (high and low resolution time) around functions to test their time.

You can configure a variable in the tconf file so you can watch it in CCS, but I just print it out to the terminal

Hi Colin.

Just a quick question. These functions don't seem to be available when DSPBIOS is not used. Are there similar timing functions for projects that do not use DSP/BIOS? I am after something along the lines of Chip Support Library API.
