Hi Sir / Madam,

How to link code composer and linux kernel of OAMP L138?
Is there any problem to uboot and linux kernel after running face detection on OAMP L138?

Dear Gourisankar Samal,
You can't run the Linux (u-boot & kernel) and facedetect code simultaneously since Linux using DDR memory and facedetect also using the same DDR.

What is your requirement ?

Dear Sir,

I need to track the face by using a ptz camera.

I am trying to use the demo code of face detection which is a CCS file and the GPIO pins to control the ptz operation.

Can I control GPIO pins by Code composer?

Yes, you can access the GPIOs in CCS.
Please install the starterware and get the GPIO based example in the following link.
C:\ti\OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_04_01\examples\lcdkOMAPL138\gpio
Also you can search TI E2E posts as well.

Dear Sir,

I have not explained my above problem correctly.
If I will run face detection demo (of C6748) on OAMP -L138 . Will It make changes to its u-boot booting files provided by default.
means Do I will be able to run linux kernel as before after executing CCS programs? (After running the demo I have closed every thing of face detection and CCS ), started new session with tera term.

Dear Gourisankar Samal,
Sorry, still I'm not clear on your question.
If you want to run the facedetect example alone then set boot mode to UART then run the facedetect code on DSP core.

Can you please explain a bit on your requirement again ?

Dear Sir,

I am asking as a semi technical question?
If I run any CCS project on OAMP-L138 LCDK. Will it change booting files of arm(u-boot)?

e.g. lets there is windows and ubuntu OS on same system and if one will change GRUB of that system from any OS it will definitely affect other.

Dear Gourisankar Samal,
Typically we can boot the OMAPL138 LCDK board using different boot medium, say e.g, SD card boot, NAND boot, SPI boot, NOR boot etc.,
In OMAPL138LCDK board, we have SD/MMC adapter, NAND flash.

So you can flash the "facedetect" code to NAND flash and have Linux (u-boot & kernel) on SD card boot.
Once you modify the boot mode, you can boot any one of binary either facedetect code or Linux (u-boot and kernel)

To boot OMAPL138LCDK from SD card:

Flash the following binary into board by using "SFH writer" tool.
