I am newbie to the TI platform and i want to have insight for the project development for the custom board which is running C6748 DSP with 24mhz ext crystal.

How do i specify gel file for the PLL and system clock setting for the startup.

I am browsing thru examples but its sparse and quite baffling. i found gel file in the starterware of c6748 but i have no instructions that how do i use it.

Please assist me if ypu have an idea about specifying gel file for the platform c6748.

Hope you are using the gel file from below folder link.

\TI\Forum\OMAPL138_C6748\Code\C6748_StarterWare_1_20_04_01\tools\gel

In this gel file, you can see the hotmenu functions for various core and DDR frequency available. These APIs can be called in CCS window under Scripts on the Menu bar. Please check.

Could you please let me know in the emac control module, what could be my INTPRESCALE value if my processor is running at 300MhZ?

Refer to this gel file user guide.

EMAC/MDIO module clock will be 75MHz if core frequency is 300MHz as EMAC/MDIO is clocked from PLL0_SYSCLK4 (300/4)
EMAC/MDIO ref clock will be 50MHz if RMII selected and 25MHz if MII selected.

I don't see any value in that INTPRESCALE field ( INTCONTROL register, 0x01E2200C) , why do you want to know ?
What is your requirement ?
You can check the value of INTCONTROL register (0x01E2200C) in CCS memory browser window.
