Shared SERDES at K2L

Hello All,

K2L family: as I see in the datasheet PCIe and SGMII interfaces have shared SERDES.  Am I right:  no chance to have both interface at the same time?

Best regards,

Dmitry

  • Hi Dmitry,

Assigned this thread to Wireless processor group for faster response. Thank you for your patience.
  • Hello Dmitry,
The K2L shared serdes are in blocks. So Yes you can have SGMII and PCIe at the same instance.

SGMII0 and SGMII1 are not shared. They are always Ethernet 10/100/1000.

SGMII2 is shared with PCIe0, SGMII3 is shared with PCIe1 ( either 10/100/1000 or PCIe)

AIL0 is shared with JESD0, AIL1 is shared with JESD1 (either CPRI/OBSAI at various rates or JESD204B)

JESD2 and JESD3 are not shared. They are always JESD204B.

There are boot mode pins that select the Serdes shared data muxes.
