Hi,

i'm using a TMS320F28377S controller and a TI/RTOS application. During initial application design i checked the CPU load from time to time using the debugger and the RTOS Analyzer. Now our hardware has moved inside a machine and i'm updating the firmware via a bootloader. However I would like to be able to monitor the cpu load sometimes.

Is there a way to programmatically access the cpu load variables so i can check them via my communication channel instead of via the debugger ?

Hi Jan,

There is the Load_getCPULoad() API. Then it up to you on how you get the value off the device.

can i find some documentation about this api ? Or what header files do i have to include to use this?

Sorry, this fell through the cracks.

You need to add the Load module into the .cfg. Graphically, you can select Load in the "Available Products" and then select to "Add the CPU load monitoring to my Configuration". You can adjust the settings here also. If you select Hwi and Swi, you get more accurate numbers, but it use more CPU to keep track of everything. It might be 2-3% impact on the CPU. Just getting Task load is trivial, but not quite as acccurate.

In the code, you need to #include <ti/sysbios/utils/Load.h> and then use the APIs are needed. Look in the cdoc (obviously your version and install might be different).
