AIF2 Question : Open Radio Equipment Interface (ORI) Implementation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCI6638K2K

Hi,

We are implementing Open Radio Equipment Interface (ORI) on AIF2 and according to related standard we need to learn PORT_ID of the remote port with control bytes on the Control Word subchannel 52 which is inside the ori reserved area.

So we need to configure the AIF2 to write/read the related bytes on the row (52). How we can achieve this ability without using another C&M channel ?

We are already using the subchannels of the ORI C&M (53-63) on the same C&M channel.

  • Hello,

If I understand what you are wanting to do, you need to enable more Control Words in the PD CPRI Control Word LUT Registers (table).  See Table 8-68 of the Keystone 2 AIF UG (SPRUHL2A).  For whichever of the 4 control channels you are using, add "CW enables" in the LUT for the words corresponding to the ones you wish to access.  Table 8-96 defines the corresponding PE table.
