In Silicon Errata (SPRZ429H), i880 describes that RGMII2 is limited to 10/100 Mbps. For SR 2.0, IO timing characterization is pending.

For SR 2.0, are RGMII2 Switching Characteristics not compatible with 1000 Mbps operation?

It will show the performance when only RGMII1 is used.

Please tell me the performance when only RGMII2 is used and when ports of both RGMII1 and RGMII2 are used.

SR2.0 silicon is still undergoing characterization. Device information will be updated when data becomes available. Same is valid for the performance benchmarks.

Port0 is the eth0 interface.

The performance of Port0 (eth0) will be measured in no Dual MAC Mode. If so the performance for eth0 does not change when two ethernet ports (port 1 and port 2) are used.

Are there the benchmark results for the Dual MAC Mode, i.e. eth0 and eth1?

Eth0 is the external port RGMII0. As for additional benchmarks, I already replied above that these will become available later, when device characterization is complete.

Characterization is done and confirmed this is fixed in AM572x PG2.0

Can this issue be applied to other processors?

Our customer is using the TI design board TIDA-00204 which implements AM3359. They see an error with frame transmitted from eth1 (RGMII2) with 1Gbps link, then the transmission clock of RGMII2 is distorted.

Maeda-san,

The issue you are referring to is AM572x-specific. It doesn't apply to AM335x processors.
