TMS320C6748 code download issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6748

Hello forum:

I have a new design with a TI TMS320C6748 on it and now that I’m trying to bring the board up and download code to run on the DSP, I can only get CCS to download code to it after a power up. Once I try to load code again (after the first time) the data validation fails.  I have tried enabling the various resets in the configuration, but no success with that approach.  I am assuming that there is something wrong with my design, but I’m not sure where to look.

I am using:

* CCS 6.1.2
* Linux on my host
* XDS560v2 via LAN

I'm loading code through the JTAG into mDDR memory.

I also found that if I load the code after power up, it works.  If I then recompile, while the target is still running, CCS will ask if I want to reload. If I say yes, it doesn't have a problem. Everything works great. If I stop the debugging session and try to reload, that's where the problem exists.  Perhaps it's my gel file?

Any feedback or input is welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks again!

Paul

  • Dear Paul,
    Its recommended to reset the board if you want to reload the code again.

    What error you are getting ?
    Log or screen shot pls ?
