AM335x GPMC/LCD/UART pins question

Hi,

I have questions about AM335x.

Q1. My customer want to use LCD_DATA[15:8] as LCD I/F.
    But they also want to use these pin as GPMC_A[19:12].
    So, it is conflicting.

    Is there any solution to realize LCD_DATA[15:8] and GPMC_A[19:12] function simutaneouly?
    Is it available to use GPIO for LCD_DATA[15:8] function?

Q2.AM335x has a few UART ports but UART1 is only port which support DCDN/DSRN/DTRN/RIN signal.
   My customer need 3 UART ports which support DCDN/DSRN/DTRN/RIN signal.
   So, we are searching for the solution to realize these signal.
   Are these signals(DCDN/DSRN/DTRN/RIN) feasible by GPIO?

Hi g.f,

Q1. No, absolutely impossible. Note that these are also SYSBOOT pins.
Q2. This may be possible, but they will need to write their own software driver.

For Q1, may be I shoud suggest using Addr/Data Multiplex mode.

For Q2, do you ever heard using GPIO at other customers?
