[AM57x]dual encoding using gstreamer

Dear Champs,

My customer would like to implement DIS(Image Stabilization) algorithm on the DSP of AM57x for 2ch camera input of 1080p 30fps + VGA 30fps.

Could you please let me know if our gstreamer pipeline of AM57x SDK can support these 2 streams encoding concurrently?

And also, is it possible to transfer these 2 input images to DSP using gstreamer pipeline?

Dual cahnnel encoding is possible. It should be possible to access the images from DSP but let me confirm on that soon.

GStreamer dispatch to DSP support will be part of 2.0.2 release scheduled end of March. However, note that GStreamer uses OpenCL under the hood and today, OpenCL doesn’t allow to treat cores independently. i.e. there cannot be two OpenCL processes each dispatching to single core.
Single OpenCL process can dispatch to both cores separately (or) can dispatch OpenMP enabled kernel that runs on >1 core.

I shall confirm soon if DSP can access the video images.
