Hello,

the VPBE of the DM36x describes an S-Video Mode on page 303 for the internal DACS DAC0-2.

The TMS320DM368 documentation shows 3 DACS called DAC CH A-C for which CH C can be mapped to the TVOUT pin.

How do the DAC0-2 map to the DAC CH A-C (Looks like CH-C is DAC1)?

Is there any way to get the S-Video Y/C signal on pins and can the CVBS via TVOUT be used at the same time?

Alf,

Dac mapping: DAC0-CHA, DAC1-CHB, DAC2-CHC. You can select any video data to each DAC output, however only DAC-C can drive TVOUT pin.

Please see the attached picture, this should explain in detail. (we will add this to the PRG on the next revision as it can help answer other questions)

that picture explains the encoder channel to the DAC mapping.

Can I then set the VDAC_CONFIG so that TVOUT is active and COMPY and COMPPB are SVIDEO Y/C at the same time.

1080P component output is not supported in HD analog video DAC on DM36x.

Can this HD analog Video DAC paired with HSYNC, VSYNC, and DE on digital backend interface be able to suport direct connection to VGA (RGB) of PC monitor? Thanks.

If the Analog HD Video DAC can't support 1080p component, can the digtal VPBE interface support 1080p with an external HDMI transmitter paired with it? Since DM365's VPFE can support 1080p, how come its VPBE won't support 1080p? Thanks.

Both VPFE and VPBE support 1080p@30fps (for 422 data / 75Mhz pixelclock for capture and display respectively in DM365. 1080p (1920*1080) is the maximum input and output buffersize.

You should be able to interface this to a HDMI transmitter.
