Are there Hyperlink PHY chips on the market?

Hello everyone

We are using Hyperlink cable to connect two Keystone device. As we use the cable, not hard-wired, Hyperlink works at 5GHz. What if we use some kind of PHY chip, which can boost signal power level, will it help us to achieve higher clock speed?

Hi Xining,

I am also curious about this.
Maybe retimer or repeater chips can improve the signal quality to achieve higher data speed.
Need TI expert to give the right answers.

Hi,

We have tested the Hyperlink transfer between two devices up to 6.25Gbps. Due to the long cable, could only get a sustainable rate of 6.25Gbps, but customer has tested the higher data rate on our custom board.

We did not use any chip(i/o board) to improve the signal quality to achieve higher data speed.

As Ganapathi mentioned, we do not have any design example for retimer with the hyperlink interface. Please refer below thread for limitation on the maximum speed.
