Cross Compilation of Linux Kernel Modules

Hi All,

I would to like to know how to cross compile loadable kernel module(LKM) to beaglebone black.

Host machine (uname -r) :- 3.19.0-49-generic

Target machine(uname -r): - 4.1.13-g8dc6617

Sdk : - ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-02.00.01.07

Board : - Beaglebone black

Hello Amey,

You can cross compile the kernel modules by running a make linux command from the SDK's top directory. You can find the subtasks and other build targets in the Makefile. In the Rules.make file you can see the used defconfig, architecture, tool-chain and other cross compile specific rules.
