Fresh copy of git://arago-project.org/git/people/sekhar/u-boot-omapl1.git

doesnt compiles

make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-none-linux-gnueabi- da850_omapl138_evm_config

Gives following error

: invalid option

make: *** [da850_omapl138_evm_config] Error 1

Someone suggested to change shell tried bash,dash,sh ..all fails..

Alok,

Can you let me know the top commit message and commit id you see on the u-boot tree you have cloned? Are you trying to build u-boot on a windows system?

i am not well versed with Git so not sure how to see the top commit message and commit ID

(Googling to find that will update that soon)

I can say it was yesterday clone using

"git clone git://arago-project.org/git/people/sekhar/u-boot-omapl1.git "

in ubuntu machine

While above dosent worked this comiled perfectly well

git://arago-project.org/git/projects/u-boot-omapl1.git

U-Boot tree maintained at git://arago-project.org/git/projects/u-boot-omapl1.git is same as the one present in git://arago-project.org/git/people/sekhar/u-boot-omapl1.git. So it's strange that one tree is getting compiled correctly and other one is not.
