Enabling Sleep modes in TI RTOS based project

Hi,

I want enable sleep modes in TI RTOS based Tiva (TM4C129x) project. Controller has to enter into sleep mode whenever required and it has to wake up with UART receive interrupt.

i am able to test this condition without TI RTOS using driver lib functions but the same not working with TI RTOS based project. could you please help me in understanding the sleep modes configuration in TI RTOS ? any document/TI RTOS sample project available?

Hi Dhinesh,

TI-RTOS does not have any built-in Power management support for Tiva devices as of now. You should be able to use driver lib functions in a TI-RTOS application to put the core to sleep. Can you share the driver lib functions you are calling to put the core to sleep and what power management code does your application have ?

Hi Ashish,

I used these (SysCtlPeripheralSleepEnable(SYSCTL_PERIPH_UART7) & SysCtlSleep()) functions to get into sleep mode. cpu has to wake up on UART receive interrupt but its not happening.

Hi Dhinesh,

A couple of more questions...

- Can you show the call site for the power functions ?

- Are you using Tivaware's UART APIs or the UART module in TI-RTOS ?

- Can you confirm that the UART interrupts are successfully received until the core goes to sleep ?
