Hello,

I see that there is only one CAN interface available on AM3517 EVM (can0) . Is that true?. Doesn't a second CAN interface exist? I need to build an application which needs two CAN interfaces with different baudrates..

The AM3517 only has one high end CAN controller (HECC) on chip, any additional CAN interfaces would be through external adapters. I am curious if you saw somewhere in the documentation that mentions a second CAN interface on AM3517?

Ok thanks. I just wanted to be sure. I have some powerpc boards and they have 2 CAN interfaces. I had hoped , AM3517 also had 2 interfaces..

Do anyone have any experience in connecting an external CAN controller? Which should I choose? Any app. notes? I thought about a NXP SJA1000 do anyone have any experience on that?
