Hi,

RidgeRun has added support to its SDK to use the AM572x EVM, now you can use openFD with it, you can read more about it here:

It is integrated with the processors SDK given by TI. We are now in the process of creating documentation and cool demos using gstreamer on the board in order to make them public, like RTSP streaming. Do you know where is the source code of the gstreamer plugins included in the ProcessorSDK? the ones that use the IVA unit present in the chip? Is TI creating an specific set of patches for it? I was checking in the TI site: gstreamer.ti.com/.../ but it is not there, any help would be appreciated,

The Processor SDK 02.00.01.07 GStreamer source is built using OpenEmbedded.

Additionally, you can streamline the OpenEmbedded build a little bit,
by downloading the complete Arago Source tarball from the Processor SDK release,
instead of downloading the packages individually in OpenEmbedded:

Once you have built everything, you can use the "devtool modify" command to make a local development copy of
recipes you in interested in changing (gstreamer1.0-plugins-ducati is the IVA plugin recipe, for example).

We were able to get gstreamer 1.8 working with ducati on AM5728 and our SDK downloads the code and rebuilds it to be installed in the filesystem. Right now we support:

U-boot-2015.07 supported
Linux kernel 4.1.13
Linaro Toolchain 5.2-2015-2 version
gstreamer 1.8
