I need GCC toolchain (cross compiler for Sitara AM335x running with Linux) for development environment as a windows host with gcc-4.9.3

Hi,

I am having AM335x development board which running with Linux OS (kernel v3.2). I am using cygwin in window machine for development. Currently i have toolchain which is gcc-4.7. I want to upgrade my toolchain with gcc-4.9.3. If somebody having this requested toolchain ready, then please provide me.

I would really appreciate if somebody let me know the procedure to build this toolchain in case it is not readily available.

Hi,

The proper toolchain for kernel 3.2 is included in the SDK here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

But i am looking for toolchain which can be used in WINDOWS. I am compiling my source code in windows machine using cygwin.

If any one having procedure to build sitara linux toolchain for windows host machine, please share with me. Or if any one having sitara linux toolchain which can be use in windows host machine then please share it.

Hello Kemal,

Thanks a lot for reply. I have seen your given link but it has g++.exe for MigWin only not for cygwin. One another thing that i have tried compiling using that g++.exe but not getting binary file it means it is not creating binary file.
given command: $ ./gcc-4.9/bin/arm-linux-gnueabihf-g++.exe -Wall ./GCC4.9Test/Hello.cpp -o hello

I have used Git bash for compilation.

Is there a requirement to run this on cygwin. Would you like to switch to MigWin and give it a try.

Hi Kemal,

I tried it with MigWin but MigWin is not generating .o object file. Actually my machine is windows 64-bit and this toolchain is for 32-bit windows. Is this problamatic to not generating .o file?

Please can u have procedure to how to build toolchain?
