Hi All,

I'm working with OMAP-L137 in CCS 3.3, im using BIOPSP 01.20.00.

I'm trying to run the examples in the folder "audio" and "mcaspDit" and seems i was unsuccessful.

In the case of the example "audio" SIO_create function just hangs (doesn't return anything).

In the case of "mcaspDitSample" the code seems to run fine, without erros, but there is silence in the output jack.

I have the SW2 switch all up except the last one (pin 7,2,1,0 high, 3 in low), im using the DSP side 6747 only. I have no problems compiling.

Can someone give me an idea why the unmodified examples doesn't work?, is there anything i need to set / define anywhere?

Hi Alfred,
Please make sure that you ran the gel file before you load & run the code.
Also set boot mode to "Emualtion" mode while working with debugger.

I think, you are using a very old version of the PSP drivers. please use the version 01.30.01 from link given below

If you look at the 1.30.01 BIOS PSP, only C6747/OMAPL137 has the example for mcaspdit, so the evminit for the mcasp DIT mode is required. Because of this, in this platform, please check to add the file mcaspDit_evmInit.c in the evmInit.pjt and ensure to add the file "mcaspDit_evmInit.c" in the project.

In general, Mcasp driver relies on PSP EDMA3 driver to move data from/to application buffers to peripheral and please ensure that current PSP release is compliant with version of EDMA3 driver being used. So, kindly ensure the dependencies below:

CCS 3.3.24 or higher with service release 10
 CCS 4.0.0.16 or higher (optional)
 OMAPL137 EVM
 DSP/BIOS™ 5.41.03.17
 Code Generation Tools 6.1.9
 EDMA3 product version 01.11.00.03

IMPORTANT NOTE: The mcaspDitSample project contains the references to EDMA3LLD_BIOS5_INSTALLDIR environment variable and links with edma3 libraries. This is required because audio driver by default requires that the EDMA be present.

Hi Sivaraj,

My problem got solved with the update, i will have to add that i didn't had audio when updating so i hat to set up the SWx switches in the board:

SW 5 LLLLLL (all low)
SW3 LHHH (1 Low 3 High)
SW2 HHHHHL (5 High last low)
SW1 LL (all low)
