OCF-Linux Support In AM335x For OpenSwan KLIPS HW OCF

Hi all, is there a suitable ocf-linux patch for am335x?

I have tested the IPSec VPN throughtput without OCF is rarely bad as my expect.

I have read the following links

But it seems no help for me, because I'm using SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.03, with kernel version 3.14.43

I have download the lates ocf-linux
jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/.../ocf-linux-20150303.tar.gz
and patch the kernel, of course it does not work for OpenSwan because the HW accelerator driver for ocf-linux is missing.

I am using openswan with version 2.6.43.1 KLIPS.

Any suggestion is welcome,thanks in advance.

Tesla,

OCF was only supported until TI AMSDK v6.0, and no longer supported in newer SDK releases, in which cryptodev is used instead.

Recently TI kernel has improvement on omap-sham driver which should increase IPsec throughput. This change will be included in next TI Processor SDK release, which will be coming soon.

But if you want, you can test with latest TI kernel to verify the performance.

BTY, strongswan package is already included in Processor SDK v2.0.1.7.

Thanks for your reply!

It's good news for IPSec support directly in new SDK. But for this moment, we may still using the old kernel and openswan, because we have made many modifications for our product features. It will take many efforts to using the new SDK.

Will,

Do you mean how to compile OpenSwan for TI SDK? No, we don't have any user guide for that, the TI SDK only supports StrongSwan, which is built from Yacto project.
