AM335x: UART's rx as GPIO LED trigger

Hi,

We are using AM335x in our product and wanted to display UART activity using LED.

Will that be possible to use the activity LED's trigger=gpio for this purpose?

For example, set it to the gpio input corresponding to the UART's RX line?

Hi Pavel,

You can set the AM335X pin that is connected to the RX signal either as UART RX or GPIO, but not both at the same time. Why don't you simply connect an open-drain buffer like SN74LVC1G07 to the RX line and drive the LED directly from it?
