I am Fikhri Izwan. Currently I am undergo a project using TI DM6446. I want to ask a question. Can the board work with ubuntu 12.04 LTS?

Do you want to boot Ubuntu on DM6446 EVM ?
If yes, we don't have filesystem for Ubuntu.

Thank you for the answer. I am sorry for not state my truly question. What I mean is can the board work with workstation with ubuntu 12.04 LTS?.

Yes, you can work with Ubuntu 12.04.

After installing the binary file, my progress is at "Testing the Shared File System" based on the "GSG: DVSDK 2.0 Software Setup in Ubuntu" manual (processors.wiki.ti.com/.../GSG:_DVSDK_2.0_Software_Setup_in_Ubuntu.

At the manual, there is no environment setup for DM6446 and I also don't understand at that part and so on. Can you please give me some guidance for the step. Currently my workstation is Ubuntu 12.04.

Dear Fikhri,

This step is useful when you involved in kernel and filesystem development.
You can place your filesystem in network and can be copied the files to target board from PC directly without involving any pendrive or SD card.

You can put some *.ko file (kernel module driver) , application and scripts etc.,

Please let me know if you face any problem while setting up the NFS on your PC.
