[K2H] Unused pin requirement for Hyperlink

Hi

Hardware Design Guide says:

6.2.5 Unused HyperLink Pin Requirement
If unused, the primary HyperLink clock input must be configured as indicated in Section 3.3, Figure 15. Pull-up must be to the CVDD core supply

However, in the same document, Table 8 Managing Unused Clock Inputs says it should be left floating.

Which is correct pin requirement ?

Best Regards,
Naoki

  • Hi Naoki,
Figure 15 provides guidance for unused LJCB input clock buffers. The HyperLink reference clocks use a CML input clock buffer. As per table 8, the CML input clock buffers do not require the connections needed by the LJCB input clock buffer. The Hyperlink reference clock inputs can be left floating if unused.
