omapl137 uart problem

Dear sir,

I am working with omapl137 with windows 7 in ccs v6,i dumped the uart code given by texas using TI jtag,but in Device manage it is not recognising .....which driver i need to install...please share with me that drivers.....

I dumped the code using jtag then i removed the usb cable and along with that i connected rs232 cable to the board and connectd to laptop and checking in TERATERM.....is this procedure right what i did....if not how to do...

Which example you are trying to run ?

Try to run the following OMAPL137 ARM UART example.
C:\ti\quickStartOMAPL1x_rCSL\OMAPL1x\rCSL_examples\evmOMAPL137\ARM_examples\uart\UART_hyperterminal_armL137

Please refer to the readme file.

HI Titu,
I am doing that only....but when i connect db9(rs232)pin for serial communication to see the output in teraterm,my device is not recognising in Device manage (port recognition)....which means i dont have drivers...so requesting you to share the drivers.....

You don't want to have drivers for this.
You just open your COM1 port in your PC (via tera term)and see the output.

It seems you are using external HW in between the RS232 serial port, it is because of your PC/Laptop doesn't have serial COM port. Right ??

if that is the case, you may need to install the driver for that USB-to-Serial converter HW.
You can download from internet.

Our OMAPL137 EVM has serial port on P1 port (RS232)

I have downloaded so many drivers and installed...but still the result is same as i posted the attachments earlier....what to do...?(i installed these drivers)

Can you please tell me which USB to serial HW device are you using ?
In depends on that we have to install the driver.

We can't support for non-TI hardware or software in our TI E2E forum.

I'm also not sure what could be the problem (I also faced similar issue with other converters and fixed by download & installing the USB-serial drivers).
I've installed all the types of USB-to-Serial converter driver on my PC and working without any problem.

You can try to install all the USB to serial converter drivers into your PC.
Like FTDI, prolific and serialio etc.,
