Boot_defaultLimpAbortFunction

Dear TI E2E community,

i have a problem with concerto F28M35H52.

We have built our own pcb with Concerto F28M35H52, we haver rebuild the Concerto Controll Card on our own pcb.

For flashing and debbuging we use a XDS100v2 from TI and connect it with the JTAG connecotor.

When we flash the M3 controller it runs in "Boot_defaultLimpAbortFunction"

We have test the Quarz and the Quarz work correctly.

When we flash the same programm on a Controll Card everything work very good.

Have you any idea that we can do to solve the problem?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

Sebastian Hörlin

  • Sebastian,

    1) How are the boot mode pins configured? Try Serial peripheral boot mode (See Table 6-16. Master Subsystem Boot Mode Selection @ www.ti.com/.../f28m35h52c.pdf ).

    2) Did you get any errors while programming the Flash using CCS?
Check for updates in CCS and install them.

    Thanks and regards,

  • Dear TI E2E community

    1) at first i have configured the Boot flash mode and all Boot pins to 1. I have tested the Serial peripheral boot mode, this also dont work.
I dont understand why I should use the peripheral boot mode, on the test system with the Control Card I also use the Boot flash mode with all boot pins to 1.

    2) I dont give any errors when i programming the Flash with using the CCS.
When I click the M3 to break, I can see that the M3 is in "Boot_defaultLimpAbortFunction"

I use the newest CCS V6.

My pcb is exactly the part of the controll card with the Controller. I dont have implemented the part with the XDS100v2 from the control card. I use an extern debuger XDS100v2 from TI and connected with JTAG.

Have you any Idea what I can do to solve the problem?

    Thanks and regards,

  • Sebastian,

I thought you are having issues in programming Flash and hence asked about the boot mode.

Halting in "Boot_defaultLimpAbortFunction" tells us that it is related to RTOS.  Let me move this post to RTOS forum as they can help you better.

    Thanks and regards,
