TI_RTOS seems not to be working (freeRTOS always)

Hello,

I'm using a WLAN_AP from the CC3200 SDK, but instead of the osi_tirtos, is using the osi_freertos. I defined USE_TIRTOS etc, but seems not to be working. Also in the oslib folder osi_tirtos.c appears with a slash over it.

Can anyone explain what is happening.

Which versions are you using of the CC3200 SDK and TI-RTOS? I'm assuming you are using CCS.

I was able to build the wlan_app example out of the box (I have CC3200SDK_1.2.0). I looked in the mapfile and confirmed that TI-RTOS was being used (e.g. osi_tirtos.obj, lots of ti_sysbios* things, etc.)

Can you give more details on the errors you are seeing? For example, how do you know it's using FreeRTOS?

I'm using the newest version of SDK. Yes i'm using the CCS.

Like I told you a slash is over the ti_rtos.c file. And Every time I click on "Open definition" in any osi function it opens the osi_freertos.c.

And don0t seem to see any osi_tirtos.obj in the realease folder.

Yes, the version is: 1.1.0 & ccsv6.0.1.2.0000015

I imported the wlan_ap example and I don't see what you are talking about (granted I used CC3200 sdk 1.2.0). Here is what the two projects look like for me (ignore the MSP one).

The only warning I got was that I used the 5.2.5 instead of 5.2.6 compiler when I built the examples. Can you post a snapshot of your projects?

But try to click on the osi_taskCreate and select "Open Declaration", see if opens the osi_freertos.c file, or not. My opens that instead of osi_tirtos.c

gotcha. When I try that, it opens C:/ti/CC3200SDK_1.2.0/cc3200-sdk/oslib/osi.h. When I imported the oslib into my workspace and tried it again, I jumped to...osi_freertos.c. When I looked at the oslib project, my "active" build configuration was free_rtos. When I changed it to "ti-rtos" (right-click->Build Configuration->Set Active->to_rtos) and tried it again...osi_tirtos.c. Rather subtle...I learned something about CCS today:)

ti-rtos was being greyed out since the build configuration was free_rtos, and therefore the ti-rtos files were being excluded.

Just another quick question, what should i pass to the osy_SyncObjectCreate function to create an object from a task (so i can block it, etc).

There's an example of this API in <sdk_install_dir>\cc3200-sdk\example\ota_update\os\main.c

Basically you are passing in a pointer to a OsiSyncObj_t structure.
