Is there a suggested procedure for upgrading SDK

What is the best way to upgrade the build environment (e.g., TI Processor SDK 2.0.1 installed in a Ubuntu 14.04 VM) to a new SDK version?

Do you just download the latest and run the install per its instructions, or do you need to uninstall the old one first, or what?

You can simply delete the old SDK and install the new one. You can also have both in separate directories.

Each SDK is fully self-contained. By default, it will install into your home directory into a folder which includes the SDK version. So in other words, by default each SDK will be separate/independent. When a new SDK is released I generally just download it and install at the default location.
