AM3354 When powerdown resume Touch panel position error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65910, TLV320AIC3104

Dears

use ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.03-Linux-x86-Install.bin SDK

When put finger on touch than echo mem > /sys/power/state to power standby mode at the same time that resume than touch panel position error.

Because customer  they AP do power standby mode in 2-3 sec  that end user to touch at the same time so customer AP will ignore the status.

The system will go power standby mode and resume .Maybe can happen  touch panel position error.

  • HI,

    Have you calibrated your touchscreen?
  • Hi Biser:

Yes, customer is always performing the TP calibration on the 1st time boot.

        Please review the below logs.

We know the Touch panel driver ADC data might be wrong due to Suspend/Resume.

So, we tested 1 work around in the below scenario:

Step1: remove the TP module before the system entering the suspend.

         Step2: Waiting the system suspend.

Step3: When the system resume, we re-mount the TP module.

But, even this, the TP driver still has this issue.

We thought the ADC is having the wrong data during the suspend/resume phase.

So, we might need a solution that is asking the ADC to purge the data while in this phase.

         Any comments?

  • You could try applying a software reset to the ADC upon driver initialization.
  • Hi Biser:
Yes, that's what I think, but. how to do this?
Where is the Code area we need to add and which API we can use?
Please point us the correct ansewr for this.

    Thanks.

    BR Rio
