Is AISGen for D800K003 compatible with D800K001 if I do not use the new commands?

I am doing some initial development on the EVM 'C6747 that uses the D800K001 bootloader. Our custom target is a TMS320C6745B which uses D800K003.

I will be booting from the SPI Flash on both platforms. If I do not use the new commands like configuring the pin mux can I run the boot file created with AISGen D800K003 on the old processor that has the D800K001 bootloader?
