SPI1 Signals Muxed with a Peripheral?

Hi,

When I run my program and initialize SPI1, the SPI1 signals get pulled low. However when I stop the program running I can see the correct SPI1 signals (number of clocks, data output from SIMO etc.).

This leads me to suspect that something within the DSP itself is pulling the SPI1 signals to a low state. I have tried disabling all the peripherals by switching all the peripherals' states to the "Disable State" in the MDCTL.NEXT register except for the ddr2_mddr peripheral as I was unable to. However I was still unable to solve the problem.

I am using an LCDK6748 DSP and running CCS6 with the chip support library and NDK. If anyone can shed some light on if I have to reconnect some pins or something I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!
