Usage of the universal Parallel Port (uPP) and the Host-Port Interface (UHPI) on OMAP-L138 simultaneously

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Hello,

I have some questions regarding the usage of the universal Parallel Port (uPP) and the Host-Port Interface (UHPI) on OMAP-L138.

Is it possible to apply uPP and UHPI simultaneously? In our application we want the uPP to operate in 8 bit mode.
The data lines UHPI_HD of the UHPI and UPP_D of the uPP share the same pins on OMAP-L138. Therefore, we have to use the
UPP_XD data lines for the uPP interface. The data lines UPP_XD[0..7] are already reserved in our application for another
interface. Can the uPP operate in 8 bit mode processing the data lines UPP_XD[8..15]? Do we have to consider further conditions
on this configuration?

Are there other possibilities to have running uPP and UHPI simultaneously?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Friedrich
