C6678 DDR3 initializationed, one of four board pass the memory test, other fails

We have a custom board implementing the TMX version of the C6678.

After DDR configurtion, only one of our boards pass the memory test,  others three does not pass the standard test of memory,

About the initalization, I  follow the steps described in sprabl2. How solve the issue.

PS:

we using MT41J128M16-Micron  for our DDR3

Pin DDRCLKP: 66.667M,  PLLM: 19, PLLD: 0,  Sure the DDR3 Output clock Frequency is 666.67.

The DDR memory controller status register at address 0x21000004  is  0x40000004.

The basic controller configuration like SDRAM timing and SDCFG register had checked.

  • Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com). Please read all the links below my signature.

We will get back to you on the above query shortly. Thank you for your patience.

    Thank you.

Note: We strongly recommend you to create new e2e thread for your queries instead of following up on an old/closed e2e thread, new threads gets more attention than old threads and can provide link of old threads or information on the new post for clarity and faster response.

  • thanks for your suggestions.
  • Hi Rui Su,

    Please follow below suggestions,

    1. Please follow the DDR3 Initialization App Note.

    2. Figure our the DDR3 register values by DDR3 PHY Calc spreadsheet.

    3. You can customize your gel file to initialize the DDR accordingly with the init values and validate the DDR by running memory tests available in gel.

Please find the technical documents and tools from product folder,

    Thank you.
