About AM335x LCD Mono Display Setting

Hi Sir

Currently we use AM335x with LCD for display and the setting is TFT 24bit .

Does AM355x support Mono display ?

we found Monochrome operation enabled bit in RASTER_CTRL Register of LCD Controller.

Did anyone use it before ?

Hi,

The AM335X LCD controller supports mono displays, however there is no support for this in the Linux SDK provided by TI. Customers need to provide their own driver for supporting this display mode.

You should base your driver development on section 13 of the AM335x TRM Rev. M, which describes the LCD controller. There are no additional guidelines by TI other than that. As I posted initially this LCD mode is not supported in TI's SDKs, so no support for this is available from the software team.
