Hello,

the question is related to the AM5716 processor and the second PCIe interface.

We have been running PCIE1 and USB1 using USB 2.0 support and having initial all register settings correctly and it is working fine with the reset value of CTRL_CORE_PCIE_CONTROL (0x2: USB1 (SuperSpeed)).

 Now we tried to switch on the optional PCIE2 bus and discovered that to be able to use PCIE2 controller we have to change

CTRL_CORE_PCIE_CONTROL Bits 3:2 PCIE_B1C0_MODE_SEL to 0x0: PCIESS1 x1 Mode and/or PCIESS2 x1 Mode

 Now we are facing problems when accessing the XHCI USB registers in the USB controller.

 

Is it possible to have USB1 and PCIE2 controller both enabled?

If yes, what do we have to change in our USB configuration and/or PCIE2 configuration to make it work? Or in other words what are the pitfalls here?
