Hi,

Am3357 processor interface Nand Flash SCL (Single Cell Level) via GPMC 8-bit. Then how do know maximum memory interface. User manual mentioned maximum can interface 256megaByte.

Suppose using SPI interface how much can i interface.

Kindly share your ideas, because I'm in starting stage it will be useful very much.

Hi,

There is no restriction for NAND size, because NAND devices are not memory-mapped. For SPI there is also no restriction, except for booting. Only 24-bit addressable SPI memories are supported for booting.

Hi Biser,

Thanks For your reply, We are going to use NAND Flash for load application only. and interfacing nand with process by gmpc.

while using GPMC and memory limitation is there.

what will be the difference b/w GPMC and SPI interface of Nand Memory. and which one is best.

Judging from your last two posts my suggestion is that you read carefully a NAND datasheet to understand how the NAND interface works. Again, there is no GPMC size limit for NAND flash, because it isn't a memory mapped device.
