How to reduce Boot loader Size????

Hello

I am using Win CE6.0 with OmapL138. i want to know

1. How to minimize the size of the boot loader( .nb0)file and am getting the Nk.bin size as 15MB.

I am right now trying to reduce the size of the boot loader and i can able to minimize the size of the .bin file but i cant do that in .nb0 file.

If any body know how to reduce pls tell me in detail.

Strings usually take up the most space. If you have wordy menus it is best to cut or abbreviate strings.

It is also possible to completly eliminate menus alltogether if you don't need the functionality.

One thing i can understand from you.Can you tell how to reduce the menus.In which file i want to make changes. Other wise tell the file name i ll post the code here.

Hi Vinoth,

You can specify the size of the .nb0 file in the .bib file for your bootloader by changing the ROMSIZE setting.

Note that if you set it too low the bootloader won't fit. Platform Builder will then generate a number of .nb0 files of size ROMSIZE for the bootloader, but depending on what you are trying to achieve this may not work for you.

Thank you 4ur response i can able to reduce the size of the boot loader. and one more thing do u know how to boot omapl138 from the sd card. i dont ve the lcd display 2 c the output .But i can able to c through the remote display. could you tell the way to do that.

I don't know the L138, but on the 3530 board that I am working on one can select SD boot by setting a dip switch.
