Hi everyone,

I'm trying to modify the encoding demo code supplied with the dm6467t evaulation board to capture video in SD format (PAL, 576i or 576p @50Hz), without success.

Is it possible? What kind of issues may I find in the way?

Some ideas:

- Is the clock of the evaluation board fed to the TVP5147 suited to capture that format?

- Can the clock be reprogrammed to fit any Video standard?

- Is it possible to load TVP7002 and TVP5147 kernel drivers simultaneously in the latest kernel versions? What I learnt today is that there may be an I2C address conflict between those chips. Is that fixed?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Hi Gerard,

No, currently it is not possible to use TVP5147 and TVP7002 simultaneously.

Can you please change your kernel configuration to remove TVP7002 and compile in TVP5147 and try?

I do need to capture both composite and component video streams. Could you elaborate more on what the problem is and if there's a get around solution? Thanks.
