My question is for those who have worked with OV5640, OV5642, or similar.
Have you managed to get direct RGB output from these cameras? The datasheet says you can do it but I think it's a pretty difficult task. Most implementations I see on the web do the conversion either in software or through the ISP on the TI processor (not something I want to do).
If someone has been down this road I would appreciate any pointers. I will post my answers in any case, should I get it to work.
My initial thoughts are that the camera needs additional configuration in CIP (color interpolation) and CMX (color matrix), but I know very little about this.
