When KERNEL crashes ,how to reboot the processor with the help of watchdog timer from the kernel side.

Hi ,
I tried with the above two commands ,but watchdog was not disabled with echo 'V' > /dev/watchdog .
even i tried with the src folder files .that also not disabled the watchdog
can you reply me on this issue .
