AM37x EVM (MPU Power Domain OFF Mode)

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to put MPU domain to off mode. Using the following sequence.

  1. PM_PWSTCTRL_MPU register is updated with 0x0: OFF state.
  2. All interrupts in INTC are disabled and no interrupt is pending when we do that.
  3. No peripheral is active at this point.
  4. Set the CM_AUTOIDLE_PLL_MPU to 0x01
  5. Set the CM_CLKSTCTRL_MPU to 0x03

It's a kind of bare metal code that I am working with based on platform AM/DM37x EVM modules.

Previously, I was able to put MPU in retention mode. I am using JTAG probe to download the code to SDRAM. Once WFI is executed system power unexpectedly increases and when I use serial on CORE to wake the system it's power is reduced but the system goes to unknown state.

Please let me know what I am missing here. Where the control will go once MPU comes out of OFF? Is CORE domain peripherals can be used to wake the MPU from OFF? How can I get control back through JTAG?

Regards,

Haider
