Using OMAP-L137 or C6747 EVM with CCS v6.

Hi there, I have recently bought a OMAP-L137 EVAL board from Spectrum Digital and managed to get basic examples running on the board using CCS v3.3. I would like to use TI_RTOS with NDK on OMAP-L137 EVAL board, but I would like to use the latest CCS or at least CCS v6 because most of the support and training material I found on the web is based on CCS v5 or CCS v6.

I have installed CCS v6 but I am not able to find the target and platform information to C6747 in the target config settings. Please let me know if it is possible to using OMAP-L137 with CCS v6. Thanks.

Hi Mitesh Hiran,

Yes, you can use the latest CCS version (CCSv5 or CCSv6) for OMAPL137.

Please make sure you have installed proper XDC tools and SYSBIOS versions.

You would find default examples.

CCS -> Project -> Examples

Hi Sharkari, thanks for the quick reply. I have installed

CCS : 6.1.3

SYSBIOS : 6.45.1.29

XDC : 3.32.0.06

I have attached Examples project view below for your reference. But it does not list the c6747 or OMAP-l137 device as a target. Do I need to install anything else? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Shankari, I have installed CCS V6.1.3 and also installed SYSBIOS 6.45.1.29 aand XDC 3.32.0.06 but still I can see the options to target OMAP-l137.
How did you get the RTSC COnfiguration Settings tap? I can find target and connection when I click on create new CCS project.
Could you give me some information please?

Hi Mitesh,

Here I mentioned the steps to import the helloworld SYSBIOS example of OMAPL137 to CCS.

Please let me know if you are not able to import/create a SYSBIOS project.

Hi, the problem I am facing is that, when I go to the TI Resource Explorer for the example designs. I don't find any OMAP-L137 / C6747 targets as shown in your step 1. I am not sure how to get the example designs for OMAP-L1x should I need to install some version of XDC tools?
