Regarding yocto build for TI dra7xx board + python version problem

I'm trying to build images to TI Dra7xx J6 board through yocto Meta-TI layer.  Facing issues with python version on ubuntu,

Current Version is python 2.7.3  --  It supports Open Embedded layers.
 but  BITBAKE   requires python version 3.4.0 or greater.

If I install Python Version 3.4.0  then It throws an error as Open embedded scripts need 2.7.  I'm stuck badly.  Need help on this.
