External Portable Virtual Machine

I want some input, I am designing a usb computer system that when plugged into a tower a user can boot from it or launch a virtual machine without admin rights, I will be using a external cpu, gpu, ram, and storage equivalent inside a usb to be able to boot and run os like win xp, or Linux (windows vista and 7+ use too much)

I want your ideas and input on this. what would you like to see on it, what do you expect it to be able to do? what kind of performance do you expect?

  • Dear Aaron,
Which TI DSP or ARM processor you are using ?
  • Hi Aaron,

This is a very generic question. I understand from your requirement that you may need Linux running on the target. In keystone, we have multi-core (ARM+DSP) device which run Linux on ARM cores.

Please find the overview of devices from below link,

We request you to go through the Data manual for the peripherals and end equipment from "Learn more" link provided on each device. I hope it helps.

    Thank you.
