AM18xx: PRU dev kit as Linux drop

Hi,

 

looking at the following URL http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/sprc940.html

I can see that there is a Linux download for the PRU, and the file sprc941a.gz. When I download that, the only thing i can do with it is gunzip. But then I cant execute this file or do any kind of untar. What file type is this file? How can I install this on linux?

    Gunter,

    I haven't tried installing the PRU software development package, but usually our Linux installation files are a "bin" file.  Once it is extracted, you should be able to double-click on the bin file from your Linux system to install it.
