Hi All,

We want to use the CAN interface on AM5728.

Any idea what needs to be done at the driver level to enable it and use.

Hi,

You should configure your kerne to build the can driver, should be similar to this:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335X_DCAN_Driver_Guide

You have to do the appropriate pinmux settings & add the can dts node, something like:
&dcan1 {
pinctrl-names = "default";
pinctrl-0 = <&dcan1_default>;
status = "okay";
};

After you do that and recompile the kernel, here are the commands to utilize the CAN interface from user space:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335X_DCAN_Driver_Guide
