audio_soc_example on OMAPL137

Has anyone been able to get the audio_soc_example working on OMAPL137? I have spent some time on this and have not been able to get it working.

I have all the specific versions of software listed in the release notes. I have disabled ALSA in the Linux kernel, and have made the changes to configureAudio() to not touch the KICK registers.

It seems to be just hanging on the call to SIO_create() in createOutputStream(). Has anyone else ran into this problem, or has anyone gotten it to work?

Are you using the Montavista or the codesourcery tools?

I am using codesourcery 2009q3-67. I tried using 2009q1-203, but was getting linker errors.

Should I be using Montavista?

No, I was just clarifying.

The audio_soc_example was tested with the L138 board.

One hint is to try to disable I2C in the Linux kernel because I2C is used to talk to the audio codecs in the DSP side, but not sure if that will solve the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried disabling I2C in the Linux kernel, that didn't seem to help. I also found a workaround for the linking issues with sourcery q1-203 and rebuilt everything with that, which didn't help either.

Any other suggestions to try? It seems like hanging on an SIO_create() ought to be a pretty strong clue, but I'm not yet familiar enough with the system to know what implications that has. Possibly something wrong with the configuration scripts in how dioAudioOUT is declared or tied with audio0?
