Hi There

We are working on a AM335X custom board and we are experiencing some problems with the TPS65910A31 RTC. The TPS65910A31 is recognized during power up, the we failed to enable the correct RTC driver.

Witch are the correct driver for the TPS65910A31?

could someone provide some instructions on the configuration of the TPS65910A31's driver on Linux?

Hi Gilberto,

I am referring to the latest AM335x Linux SDK.

The driver for tps65910a31 is: drivers/mfd/tps65910.c. The driver for the tps65910-regulator is: drivers/regulators/tps65910-regulator.c

Refer to arch/arm/boot/dts/am335x-evm.dts & arch/arm/boot/dts/tps65910.dtsi to see how the tps linux driver is integrated for AM335x EVM board.

To enable the driver, besides the configurations in the device tree, you need to enable
CONFIG_REGULATOR_TPS65910=y
CONFIG_MFD_TPS65910=y
in the defconfig file.

To enable the TPS65910 RTC, you need to set
CONFIG_RTC_DRV_TPS65910=y
in the defconfig file.

Thanks for the information.

I have added the required statements in the defconfig file. However, I did not locate the tps65910.dtsi and ams335x-evm.dts files in the arch/arm/boot/dts/ directory. Am I missing something here? Is there any way to generate manually the missing files?

Hi,

Which SDK is this? As I said, I refer to the latest TI LINUX SDK 02.11, which uses kernel 4.1.

Hi

I found in the our sdk documentation a reference to AM335x PSP 04.06.00.11. It uses Linux Kernel V3.2. Is it possible to add the RTC support to the Kernel V3.2? We have a custom board and changing the Kernel now would take some time.
