Hi,

I am using OMAP-L138 EVK for my project. I am facing UART communication problem when I load uartEcho.c project of ARM processor. I found that UART communication channel is working fine when I first load arm5 uart project without running it and then c674x uart project on EVK. But i do not want to run c674x uart project in my project. I want to run UART on arm processor only. But with ARM code it is not working. Please help me.

Dear Mitul Shinde,
Surely it will run UART code on ARM core without running the UART code on DSP core.
How did you connect the ARM core and its called the gel file when you connect the ARM core ?
How did you create the target configuration for your board ?
Are you using OMAPL138 LCDK board ?

I configured ARM gel file on target configuration. Yes I am using OMAPL138 LCDK board.

As far as I know, I never had such a issues.
All the starterware examples were worked for me on both ARM and DSP cores of OMAPL138 LCDK board.

When you create a new target configuration, mention your emulator name as what you have and board as LCDK board, then it would automatically configured the gel file settings.
Also I doubt that yours boot settings.

Can you please set bootmode to UART boot mode then try to run the ARM UART code.
