Hai,

What should be SW1 Configuration to boot linux from micro SD Slot , When i used with the following configuration 01111000, I got the output as there in the attachment but am unable to get VGA output to the monitor. Kindly help me in this.

HI Mohammed,

If you use the OMAPL138 LCDK, the boot switch settings of SW1 is

Settings DIP switches to SD/MMC boot mode

Insert the micro-SD card to the LCDK board. Make sure micro-SD card is flashed properly with the u-boot image. Set the boot pins as below to boot from the SD card,

Pin#	1	2	3	4
Position	OFF	OFF	OFF	ON

If you are using OMAPl138 SDI EVM, the boot switch settings are "0110"

Hi Mohammed,
Also, I suspect your kernel image (uImage) as its hanging at "Start kernel...." , are you using the correct uImage in boot partition of SD card ?
Please use the kernel image in the pre-built folder of MCSDK release.

can you suggest the link where i can download Uimage directly , when i downloaded MCSDK installer for Linux it contains mcsdk_1_01_00_02 setuplinux.bin if it is correct can i copy the above file in boot partition

You can find the uImage-omapl138-lcdk.bin (pre-built kernel image for LCDK board ) in "images" folder after you installed the "mcsdk_1_01_00_02" package.
